Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for a registered midwife to work in the Kintyre locality with a base in Campbeltown. The post is fixed term/secondment until December 2026 and includes on-call duties; a full driving licence is essential.

You will provide maternity care for families in Kintyre and Argyll and Bute, and support health education and social care advice in diverse settings. The role requires autonomous practice, teamwork with local colleagues, and a commitment to promoting NHS

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Kintyre locality for an enthusiastic, flexible registered midwife, who wishes the opportunity to utilise their full range of skills in a mixed rural and town environment. The candidate must be confident to work autonomously in providing care to families in Kintyre and other areas of Argyll and Bute in a range of environments, they must also work well as a member of a team. The candidate will be able to provide a full range of evidence based, health education and social care advice in keeping with current drivers.

The service is proactive in supporting local services, whether at home or within the maternity unit, any applicant should be keen to promote this.

There is an on-call commitment with this post and a full driving license is essential.

The base for the post will be in Campbeltown. This post is offered on a fixed term/secondment contract until December 2026.
