About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?
The Interface and Operational Readiness Coordinator is responsible for ensuring effective coordination and readiness of project-wide deliverables, including those required before contractual milestones and related to various project elements, systems, and stakeholder requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the seamless integration of road & rail network configuration changes to facilitate smooth handover to Operators and Maintainers. The incumbent will work closely with various teams and returned works owners to ensure that all interfaces are identified, managed, and resolved in a timely manner, including Quality & Completions, Asset Allocation, Works Readiness, and wider project teams.
Additionally, the Interface and Operational Readiness Coordinator will oversee the implementation of operational readiness plans, ensuring that all necessary processes, procedures, and resources are in place for efficient project handover and operational success.
Project Description
Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. This 1,700 km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries, and communities.
The Beveridge to Albury (B2A) project is the Victorian portion of the program, undertaken along approximately 305 km of existing northeast rail corridor between Beveridge and Albury. B2A is staged in two tranches. Tranche 1 includes enhancement works across four sites and corridor-wide works.
Tranche 2 involves adjustments of track alignments, new road overbridges, and station modifications to enable safe operation of double-stack freight trains across eight B2A project sites between Wandong and Benalla.
