We are looking for an experienced and proactive designer to work in our service Teams. You’ll work in a multiskilled team to deliver changes to our citizen facing and internal services. You will help to improve how Planning Inspectorate delivers services for our customers.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and proactive interaction designer. Your work will help us meet Planning Inspectorates’ strategic direction and goals.
You will be able to focus on delivery and take responsibility for the quality of work produced. You will use your knowledge and expertise to organise work. You will be able to communicate and work collaboratively with others. You must have experience of designing services everyone can use. Your design work will meet user needs and you must be able to build working-code prototypes. You will be able to followGOV.UK style guidelines. You have experience of turning complex requirements into simple user journeys and interactions.
Youwillwork with a multi-disciplinary project team. You will analyse problems and design solutions to those problems. You will help to ensure that services focus on user needs. You will work with other designers to improve design approaches and strategies. Your work will meet project goals and delivery cycles. Youwillbe an integral part of the digital team and help maintain design and data standards.

This role is contractually based at Temple Quay House, Bristol which is currently out of use due to undergoing refurbishment work. In the interim, we have the use of alternative office space in very close proximity to Bristol Temple Meads railway station. We recognise and value the mutual benefits of hybrid working and have a flexible approach to in person attendance, which can vary dependent on the requirements of individual business units - the details of which can be discussed with candidates if invited to attend an interview.
