  • Location: Hybrid - Telford Office 2 days per week
  • Duration: 6 Months
  • Rate: £400 per day - Umbrella Only
About MTD

Making Tax Digital (MTD) is transforming the UK tax system to use digitally integrated tools, aiming to make tax processes easier and more accurate for businesses, self-employed individuals, and landlords. It involves creating a single, modern IT system for managing tax affairs.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with user researchers, content designers, service designers, performance analysts, software developers, policy, and legal teams.
  • Develop designs based on user needs and organizational goals.
  • Ensure interfaces are user-friendly and easy to navigate.
  • Incorporate evidence-based research into design work.
  • Work with product managers and analysts to refine services considering external factors like policy, legislation, and technology.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD).
  • Ability to work effectively within an agile delivery model with colleagues and external providers.
  • Excellent communication skills across digital disciplines.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Proficiency in prototyping, including coding where applicable.
