Intensive Need Night Support Worker

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people? We’re recruiting for a dedicated Intensive Need Night Support Worker to join a national charity’s supported housing service in Lincoln, delivering essential 1-2-1 care within a home environment.

THE ROLE
As an Intensive Need Night Support Worker, you will provide consistent overnight support to 1-2 young people with complex needs, helping them build independence and develop healthy routines.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating and maintaining person-centred support and safety plans
  • Supporting young people with developing a positive night-time routine
  • Signposting to specialist services including mental health and substance misuse support
  • Completing regular health and fire safety checks
  • Maintaining the security and cleanliness of the property
  • Accurately recording all support sessions, incidents, and safeguarding concerns
  • Building trusting relationships and maintaining professional communication with external agencies

THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for candidates with previous experience in a similar support worker or keyworker role, ideally within a supported housing or youth service setting.
You will also need:
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with external partners
  • Familiarity with maintaining safety and property standards

THE CONTRACT
This is a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern from 22:00 - 08:15 with 5 hours of unpaid break per week. The role averages 38 hours per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts (maximum 48 hours per week).
Initial 3-month contract with potential for temp-to-perm.
The pay rate is £19.00 per hour for LTD company contractors, or £16.20 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay).
