Role Overview:

You will work on impactful projects that support clients in delivering scalable energy, utility, and transport infrastructure programs, aiding the UK’s transition to a low-carbon, sustainable future.

Our consultants bring asset-intensive industry experience and strong business improvement skills. They understand how digitization in capital project delivery and asset management can reduce costs, transform operations, and deliver stakeholder value. We collaborate across all organization levels and asset lifecycle stages to establish foundational capabilities for success, blending industry insight with emerging technologies to create digitally enabled, integrated workflows.

We move quickly from concept to action, building confidence in digital transformation journeys to ensure project success and infrastructure maintenance. Our clients include major asset-intensive organizations globally, and we focus on reducing total cost of ownership and improving asset availability through digital enablers and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, shape, and deliver significant digital transformation programs using your industry experience.
  • Lead teams and ensure successful implementation of new capabilities and operational transformations.
  • Develop business opportunities and client relationships, leveraging networks and industry contacts.
  • Support the development of asset management strategies, roadmaps, and investment cases.
  • Define future business and organizational models for asset-intensive organizations, considering people, technology, and information impacts.
  • Mentor and develop digital asset management skills within Capgemini.
  • Oversee Asset Investment Planning projects, including policy design for maintenance, repair, and replacement.
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven success in leading business transformation projects and digital initiatives.
  • Experience in consultancy, asset and material management, and working within asset-intensive sectors (energy, utilities, transport).
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices and their application to optimize asset management programs.
  • Extensive experience with digital transformation, IIoT, digital twin, cloud solutions, data analytics, automation, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management software (e.g., SAP PM/MM, Maximo, OSI PI, Aspen, PTC, Primavera, GE Predix, Bentley, NRX Asset Hub).
  • Understanding of Asset Management Lifecycle, reliability engineering, project management, and international standards.
  • Ability to operate successfully in matrix organizations and support proposition development and business growth, aiming to generate approximately £2m in consulting revenue.
