Avon and Somerset Police is seeking an Intelligence Unit Supervisor to lead a proactive, multi-location team focused on identifying and targeting criminal activity and safeguarding vulnerable communities. We have an exciting opportunity to join The Intelligence Department within Avon and Somerset Police as an Intelligence Unit Supervisor. In this role you will be leading proactive, diverse teams who are responsible for identifying and targeting all levels of criminality and safeguarding within vulnerable communities.
The following role and locations are available: A job-share which will cover Wednesday-Friday. It will be part time, working 22.5 hours. You can nominate your fixed working location (Bridgwater, Taunton or Yeovil) but as a supervisor will be required to work from the other locations listed.
Shift work: Normal office working hours however the successful candidate will be required to cover 1 weekend in 5 as part of a rota.
Must have IPP (Intelligence Professionalisation Programme) accreditation or be willing to gain it within two years.
Investigative or intelligence experience and mindset.
Strong communication skills and a passion to forge relationships with key stakeholders.
Willingness and enthusiasm to deliver CPD to other leaders and practitioners.
The ability to work proactively and lead a team with minimum supervision.
Must hold a full and current driving licence.
