Job Title: Intelligence, Response Operations Centre Analyst

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames (Hybrid)

Contract Length: 6 months initial contract with the view to go permanent (Temp-Perm)

Industry: Oil and Energy

Shift Pattern: 4-day rotational shifts - First 3 days: 7am - 7pm on site (except weekends); 4th day: 7pm - 7am WFH

Role Overview

Working as part of a high-performing intelligence and operational team for a global energy company, an IROC Analyst monitors and reports on global and local events, playing a vital role in the company's incident response.

You will analyze social media and intelligence sources beyond major media networks to provide early warnings of threats and incidents. The role involves assessing events for potential impact on personnel, assets, and reputation, and escalating issues according to procedures. Collaboration with ISC global and regional teams is essential to mitigate risks and support security and crisis management.

Responsibilities
  • Produce thematic open-source intelligence reports to monitor trends relevant to ISC and support security policies and business objectives.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate operational intelligence to aid risk management and crisis response.
  • Maintain awareness of global events and their potential impacts on the organization and energy sector.
  • Build and interpret data sets, delivering analysis through reports and visualizations to inform decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in operational, analytical, or security environments assessing threats and supporting real-time activities.
  • Ability to evaluate tactical intelligence sources and escalate appropriately.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization, with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of global geopolitical affairs and energy sector impacts.
  • Excellent report writing and briefing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure and make confident decisions during emergencies.
  • Willingness to work independently, including shift work and overnight lone working.
