Are you passionate about data and curious about how it can be used to support better outcomes for children and families?

We are looking for an individual to join our Intelligence, Performance and Engagement team. In this role, you will help bring together a range of data and intelligence from different sources, to support our services to continually develop and improve outcomes for children and families. Our team covers the reporting for a wide range of areas, including early help, social work, education, and youth offending, so it is a great opportunity to get a good understanding of lots of areas within children's services.

This is a fixed term contract for 1 year.

Main Responsibilities

You will:

• Extract and manipulate large complex datasets using tools such as Power query, Power BI or the equivalent
• Analyse, interpret and present information that is accessible for the audience and supports service delivery and improvement.
• Work with various stakeholders across the organisation to implement technical solutions that support efficient and effective reporting processes, making use of the latest technology.
• Prepare national/local quarterly/annual statistical returns and analysis, highlighting areas of risk or improvements required to capture the information in the most efficient ways.
• Highlight where data quality and recording standards across the System need development in order to improve accuracy and timeliness and maintain an intelligence led system.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

• be experienced in data analysis with good technical skills and a strong grasp of MS Office applications, particularly advanced use of Microsoft Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
• be able to manipulate multiple complex datasets to produce meaningful intelligence.
• be passionate about using data to improve outcomes for families and can share their enthusiasm with others.
• have a curious nature and a good eye for detail
• be solution-focused
• be a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with key stakeholders and support them in translating service information into meaningful insights that show impact.
• be an independent learner, and be motivated to research problems and further develop your skills and knowledge.
