Job Description
- Responsible for driving a large integration consolidating business locations into one.
- Manage all project lifecycle activities for delivering complex, medium-term projects impacting multiple departments or offices, with medium to high risk, scope, and complexity.
- Accountable for managing project lifecycle and budget in line with the bank's Project Management Methodology, ensuring alignment with objectives and business profile.
- Lead, influence, motivate, and manage diverse project teams across the organization, including representatives from various departments, to ensure timely delivery with minimal impact on the bank's business and customers.
- Plan and oversee completion of all project artifacts, including business case, regulatory requirements, project roadmap, budget, testing, implementation, and handover into business as usual.
- Identify and escalate risks and issues with mitigation plans to the C-level Project Sponsor and committees (SteerCo) to prevent impact or additional risk.
- Ensure proper governance and transparency for the project to achieve appropriate oversight.
- Ensure all deliverables are compliant, meet project objectives, align with market best practices, and withstand regulatory scrutiny.
- Adapt to ongoing changes during the project, document impacts, formulate mitigation plans, and update impacted areas.
- Maintain focus on delivering and realizing the project's benefits.
The Successful Applicant
Education & Qualifications: Degree or significant specialist knowledge; industry-recognized project management qualification such as PMP or APM preferred.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Capital Markets or corporate banking activities and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong experience delivering Capital Markets or corporate banking projects.
- Experience in Target Operating Model and/or business integration projects.
- End-to-end project delivery experience.
- Successful project delivery within financial services.
- Interpersonal skills including leadership, motivation, conflict resolution, negotiation, and coaching.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with diplomacy.
- Team building and management experience.
- Practical, hands-on approach to tasks to achieve objectives.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
