Job Overview

The Integration/M&A Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading a major integration project focused on consolidating business operations across multiple locations into a single entity. This role is based at a large international bank in London.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage all project lifecycle activities for complex, medium-term projects impacting multiple departments or offices, involving medium to high risk, scope, and complexity.
  2. Ensure project delivery aligns with the bank’s Project Management Methodology, maintaining sound judgment and ownership of project processes.
  3. Lead, influence, and motivate diverse project teams across the organization, including cross-departmental representatives, to ensure timely results with minimal disruption to business and customers.
  4. Develop and manage project artefacts such as business cases, regulatory compliance, roadmaps, budgets, testing, implementation, and transition to business as usual.
  5. Identify risks and issues, escalate as necessary to senior stakeholders, and develop mitigation plans.
  6. Maintain proper governance and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Ensure all deliverables meet compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and align with best market practices.
  8. Adapt to ongoing changes, document impacts, and present mitigation strategies.
  9. Focus on delivering and realizing the project’s benefits.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree-level education or significant specialist knowledge.
  • Industry-recognized project management certification such as PMP or APM preferred.
  • Experience in Capital Markets or corporate banking, including regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record in delivering Capital Markets or banking projects, including M&A, divestments, or business integrations.
  • End-to-end project delivery experience within financial services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Practical, proactive, and able to work under pressure to multiple deadlines.
Job Offer

Salary: £100,000 - £115,000 plus benefits and bonus.
