Job summary

Experis UK is seeking a Software Integration Engineer for its Christchurch site in Dorset. You will build and configure Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11, integrate COTS and bespoke software, and ensure adherence to software engineering practices.

Travel to customer sites for deployment support may be required. Experience with PowerShell, MDT, and AD/GPOs is desirable, along with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring Windows Server operating systems and Windows 10/11.
• Familiarity with configuring COTS and bespoke software.
• Knowledge of AD, GPOs and standard software engineering practices.

Job description

My client a multi-national Aerospace & Defence organisation are looking for a Software Integration Engineer to be based out of their Christchurch site in Dorset.

What you'll be doing:

• Building and configuring Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Integration and configuration of COTS and bespoke software.
• Adherence to software engineering practices
• Fault finding and resolution of issues in a production environment to a successful conclusion
• Producing clear and concise technical documentation
• Collaboration with other members of the team: sharing knowledge and peer reviewing others work
• Reporting on progress and providing feedback to team members and leadership
• Occasional travel to customer sites to support deployment, investigations and testing
• You'll be able to use PowerShell and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit to install and configure COTS and bespoke software on Windows 10 and Server 2019
• You'll have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and MDT alternate deployment approaches for deploying Windows 11 and Server 2022 (desirable)
• You'll have knowledge and experience of Group Policy and Active Directory
• You'll be able to produce clear technical documentation
