Job Title: Integration Design Engineer Electrical

Location: Portsmouth Naval Base. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: Up to £40,000 dependent on skills and experience

What You'll Be Doing

1. Producing Integration Design Solutions for the introduction of new equipment into Maritime Platforms, including liaising with MoD Customer and Industry Partners, conducting Ship Surveys, and producing Installation Solution Packs with Electrical/System Drawings, Penetrations, Cable Data Sheets, Bill of Materials, and Installation Instructions.
2. Producing Ship Feasibility studies.
3. Liaising with MoD and Industry Partners to develop Integration Requirements.
4. Undertaking Ship Surveys to support Equipment Material State Reports, Equipment Configuration Control, and Power and Load Chart Management.
5. Configuring and maintaining Ship Databases for Electrical Power Distribution and Fibre Networks.
6. Supporting electrical detailed design activities across the Business.
7. Providing technical input to Product Safety of Design Services.

Your Skills And Experiences

1. Knowledge of Electrical Systems theory.
2. Ability to interpret and apply Electrical Design Standards.
3. Working knowledge of Electrical Installation Practices and Distribution Systems.
4. ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with familiarity with AUTOCAD & FORAN toolsets.
