Job summary

Falcon Smart IT in London is seeking an experienced hands-on Integration Architect for Project Compass to drive real-time Ledger, Payments, and FX systems integration within a large banking platform.

You will lead multi-team integration efforts, define target architectures, and mentor teams on API governance and patterns, leveraging AI-assisted development tools and AWS cloud services.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in tech, 5+ years in integration architecture.
• Proven delivery in large-scale financial/fintech systems.
• Experience leading multi-team integrations.

Responsibilities

• Define and own target-state integration architecture aligned with enterprise standards.
• Lead end-to-end integration delivery across multiple systems and teams.
• Design event-driven, API-first, cloud-native solutions (NATS, REST, async messaging).
• Act as integration authority across platforms and stakeholders.
• Mentor teams on integration patterns, API governance, and best practices.
• Drive use of AI tools to improve development efficiency.
• Event-driven architecture, NATS (or Kafka/Pulsar), messaging patterns.
• AWS (EKS/ECS, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, Terraform).
• React/TypeScript (working knowledge).
• Domain Expertise: Payments, Client onboarding.

Job type: FTC 1 Year - Hybrid - 4 days office Mandatory Hands-on Integration Architect for Project Compass, driving real-time Ledger (RTL), Payments, and FX systems integration within a large banking platform. Strong communicator and technical leader Familiar with AI-assisted development tools NATS experience is required (Kafka/Pulsar accepted) Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own target-state integration architecture aligned with enterprise standards
• Lead end-to-end integration delivery across multiple systems and teams
• Design event-driven, API-first, cloud-native solutions (NATS, REST, async messaging)
