NHFT is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to work within the Integrated Substance Misuse Service at HMP Peterborough. The role involves delivering comprehensive, needs-based healthcare services to patients with substance misuse issues, including providing 24-hour care across various shifts such as day, night, and weekends.
The Substance Misuse Team is part of the integrated healthcare provision at HMP Peterborough, comprising nurses, HCAs, and recovery workers. The team collaborates closely with psychosocial, mental health, and healthcare services to offer a trauma-informed well-being service. The service maintains strong links with the local community, focusing on resettlement and supporting individuals to lead better lives through quality services and recovery support, including post-release initiatives to reduce reoffending.
