The Metropolitan Police Service is seeking an Integrated Intelligence Officer to join the Integrity Management Integrated Intelligence Team. This role supports intelligence-led integrity management, risk assessment and decision‑making across the organisation.

You will work across the full intelligence lifecycle, develop expertise in governance, analytical methods and professional judgement while protecting organisational risk and public trust in policing.

Qualifications

Job Title: Integrated Intelligence Officer

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

The Metropolitan Police Service is seeking an Integrated Intelligence Officer to join the Integrity Management Integrated Intelligence Team. About the Role

As an Integrated Intelligence Officer, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing and managing integrity‑related risks across the organisation. You will work across the full intelligence lifecycle, gathering, developing, evaluating and analysing intelligence to support informed and defensible decisions.

The role combines core intelligence functions with specialist vetting review responsibilities, ensuring intelligence is applied effectively to support robust risk assessment and decision making in accordance with national regulations, professional standards and organisational policies.

You will develop expertise in intelligence assessment, research, information governance, professional judgement and risk management while contributing to the protection of the organisation and the public.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Gather, assess and analyse intelligence from a variety of sources to identify integrity‑related risks.
  • Research patterns, trends and emerging concerns, ensuring timely escalation of significant intelligence.
  • Produce intelligence reports, assessments and briefing products to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Conduct end‑to‑end vetting case reviews, including complex and sensitive cases.
  • Support quality assurance processes and provide guidance to colleagues on intelligence and vetting matters.
  • Attend and support Interviews and prepare documentation for interviews, hearings and case conferences.
  • Manage sensitive information in line with data protection, disclosure and information governance requirements.
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal departments and external partners.
  • Present information and evidence at meetings, hearings and tribunals where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and promote a culture of integrity, professionalism and ethical decision‑making.
