About the role

Integrated Healthcare Manager - Diabetes/Obesity/CV - Scotland, Wales & NI

  • Newly created business critical Market Access role
  • Accountable for ICB/HB level medicines access and uptake of a cardiometabolic medicines portfolio
  • Hybrid field-based position, responsible for promotional and non-promotional activities

This new Integrated Healthcare Manager role has been created to ensure they continue to be successful in the future by working in partnership with the NHS.

The position:

The Integrated Healthcare Manager will align and raise the priority level of Novo Nordisk (NN) cardio renal and metabolic (CVRM) therapy interests at the Regional NHS (ICB/HB) and wider healthcare environment level, enhancing and leveraging NN commercial interests through the alignment of NHS policies and strategies to NN areas of interest and building successful partnerships and collaborations to create a triple-win for NN, patients and Healthcare Organisations (HCOs).

Accountable for ICB/HB level medicines access and uptake of the NN cardiometabolic medicines portfolio, they will ensure that barriers to access are removed across the Integrated Care System and, in collaboration with the Business Unit NHS Network Managers ensure the optimisation of formularies and care pathways to drive appropriate uptake of medicines in line with guidance. They will be accountable for the execution of collaborative working projects and other service improvement initiatives.

Experience required:

  • Significant recent experience of collaborative working and delivering partnership projects at scale with the NHS
  • Experience in building relationships/networks with senior health care decision makers at Regional level
  • Highly proficient Project Management experience - evidenced through to project completion and impact evaluation
  • Significant experience of work within a Market Access environment and / or payer facing activities
  • Expert understanding of National & Regional NHS policy and its application to Local Health Economy
  • Strong understanding of ABPI Code and compliance with collaborative working
  • Expert level understanding of NHS priorities and strategies and their translation at a local NHS level into ICB strategic plans
  • Excellent networking, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly analytical; comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings

This is a new team anchored within the Market Access department. You will be a key member of the Market Access Team, responsible for our partnership strategy, working closely with the commercial Business Units.
