Job description

Position: Integrated Account Specialist

Therapy Area: Diabetes

Vacancy Type: Permanent / Full Time

Overall Job Purpose:

The Diabetes Integrated Account Specialist (IAS) will be responsible for managing the business for key accounts within their territory. IASs will lead on local account planning across priority hospital accounts and the overarching ICS structure. They will use ICS, account, and customer insight to develop and execute a local account strategy that maximizes business potential from launch using a range of engagement channels, aligned with overall brand strategy.

The IASs will have account ownership for Diabetes in the accounts within their territory and will be accountable for identifying and maximizing the most valuable opportunities depending on customer, healthcare system, and business needs. From launch, it will be essential for the IAS to work closely with their Key Account Manager to gain formulary access and target guideline positioning. IASs will support key target customers and help with our purpose of making life better for patients with the conditions we treat.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define, prepare and implement a territory business plan from launch, based on a clear understanding of local NHS and customer priorities. The IAS will lead the development of a cross-functional and focused business plan, working with the Regional Business Manager, KAM, and ML colleagues.
  2. Achieve/Exceed sales & new patient start targets through a mixture of focused customer interactions – including face-to-face calls, meetings & digital tactics.
  3. Develop and maintain deep expertise and product knowledge of own therapeutic area & appropriate competitor products.
  4. Support HCPs by continuing to develop/grow their key capabilities in line with the clients' strategy for building lasting customer relationships.
  5. Excellent partnership with local KAM, ML, and key Head Office colleagues to ensure good teamwork and support of the customer base, leading to optimum business achievement.
  6. Demonstration of high integrity & compliance at all times.

  4. Ability to build strong internal/external relationships and manage a range of local stakeholders.
  5. Excellent demonstration of key capabilities such as in-call selling skills using VBS, key account management, and business planning.
  6. Strong evidence of personal accountability, flexibility, and a winning mindset.
  7. Ability to sell a broad portfolio of products across a variety of disease indications.
  8. ABPI Qualified.
  9. Proven track record in Pharmaceutical Sales.
  10. Full UK Driving license.
