Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Thetford is seeking a QA Auditor to uphold health and safety procedures, conduct site audits, and ensure CCPs are managed according to defined procedures.

You will issue NCRs, coach operations staff on technical issues, calibrate scales and probes, perform water quality checks, and help maintain product quality across the site. The role offers development opportunities within the group and strong compliance focus.

Qualifications

• Solid computer literacy with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.
• Food safety level 3 and HACCP level 3 certification.
• Conflict handling and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Health and Safety Procedures.
• Complete ad-hoc audits as needed by the Shift QA Manager.
• Ensure CCPs are effectively managed by Operations per procedure and deviations are controlled.
• Issue NCRs when standards are breached and manage to close out actions.
• Coach operations staff on technical issues relating to raw materials.
• Scale and probe calibrations.
• Water quality checks.
• Manage non-conforming product across the site.
• Conduct spot temperature checks on production lines.
• Ensure compliance with QAS/Quality Contracts.
• Inspect key ingredients on intake to meet specs.
• Attend Tier 1 & SIC meetings and cascade information up/down.

Job Description

• To comply with and uphold all company Health and Safety Procedures.
• The completion of ad-hoc audits as deemed necessary by the Shift QA Manager
• Ensure that the site CCP’s are effectively managed by the Operations team in-line with the defined procedure. All deviations from procedure are to be robustly managed and brought back into control.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) where an established protocol or standard has been compromised. The NCR is to be managed by the issuing Quality Auditor until completion of the corrective action.
• Coaching and mentoring of operations employees on technical issues particularly relating to raw materials where necessary
• Scale and probe calibrations
• Water quality checks
• Managing non-conforming product across the site.
• To conduct spot checks on temperatures of product on production lines as required
• To ensure compliance with all QAS/Quality Contracts
• To ensure key ingredients meet the required specifications through inspection upon intake.
• Attend all Tier 1 & SIC meetings – communicate raw material issues and cascade information both downwards from senior team to shop floor and upwards from shop floor to management where required.
• Carry out job related tasks on an ad-hoc basis as and when required.
