Job description

As an Intake Operator at our Settle Creamery, you will be the first point of contact at the site for all milk deliveries and will ensure that these deliveries are processed correctly and efficiently. Paying particular attention to health and safety, you will analyze and evaluate products and materials to ensure that quality and approved analysis standards are met.

So what do our Intake Operators actually do?

As an Intake Operator, you will be integral to site operations, greeting milk tankers to the site and ensuring that the deliveries are processed in a timely manner. You will conduct tests to analyze products and materials, interpret results of analyses, and escalate non-conformance issues as required.

You will then communicate these results to relevant departments, as well as ensuring that instrumentation is functioning correctly and that calibrated and verified methods are used.

You will also be responsible for managing the site milk booking systems and ensuring the efficient management of milk with the Process Team.

What you’ll need to be successful in the role

• An attention to detail to ensure all recordings are 100% accurate
• The ability to work independently
• The ability to communicate effectively with external and internal teams
• Manufacturing/food manufacturing experience is a plus, but we can coach you if not
• One week off in every four weeks!
