Job summary

Avencia Consulting is recruiting for an Underwriting Support Assistant to join its Care Renewals Team. You will provide essential administrative support to Underwriters, compile renewal files, and coordinate risk surveys across the UK, while building knowledge in commercial insurance.

No prior insurance experience is required; we value a proactive attitude, organisation, and a willingness to learn. Hybrid working arrangements support flexible work-life balance.

Qualifications

• No prior insurance experience required; willingness to learn.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in customer service or office administration is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to Underwriters and Senior Underwriters.
• Run workflow reports and allocate tasks across the team.
• Prepare renewal files and gather key risk information.
• Coordinate property and risk surveys.
• Review and track survey requirements.
• Research Care Quality Commission (CQC) reports and supporting documentation.
• Manage broker enquiries and updating records.
• Follow up with brokers to obtain outstanding information.
