Insurance Solution Architect | ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-level solution architectures within the UK Insurance sector
• In-depth understanding of insurance business processes including Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Life & Pensions, Personal Lines and Digital Servicing
• Proven ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into architecture blueprints, solution designs, technology roadmaps and implementation strategies
• Experience modernising legacy insurance platforms, including system migrations, integration architecture and cloud-based transformation
• Strong understanding of UK insurance regulatory requirements, including FCA Consumer Duty, data protection, conduct risk and operational resilience
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership to development teams, oversee architecture reviews and ensure adherence to governance standards
• Experience designing solutions across enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, security and cloud environments
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engaging senior business leaders, technical teams and third-party technology providers

Insurance Solution Architect | DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience with insurance technology platforms covering Policy Administration Systems, Underwriting Workbenches, Claims Management and Customer Communications
• Knowledge of insurance product governance, customer outcomes, vulnerable customer considerations and advice/guidance boundaries
• Experience evaluating technology vendors, assessing enterprise platforms and supporting strategic technology selection
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, automation and emerging digital insurance technologies
• Experience developing architecture capability maps, application landscapes, integration diagrams and technical decision documentation
• Familiarity with architecture governance frameworks, design authorities and enterprise technology standards
• Experience working within multidisciplinary consulting teams and complex insurance transformation programmes
• Relevant architecture certifications, including TOGAF or equivalent

Insurance Solution Architect | OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Solution Architect to support the design and delivery of complex technology transformation programmes across the UK Insurance sector.

The role focuses on developing scalable, secure and resilient technology architectures that modernise insurance operations, improve customer experiences and support regulatory compliance. Projects will span Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Life & Pensions, Personal Lines and Digital Servicing, alongside wider cloud, data and integration initiatives.

Working closely with senior insurance stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams and delivery leadership, the Insurance Solution Architect will take ownership of architectural design, technology roadmaps and solution governance, ensuring technical decisions align with business objectives, operational requirements and regulatory expectations.

The position offers exposure to major insurance transformation programmes, including legacy platform modernisation, cloud migration, enterprise integration and emerging digital technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping technical strategy, guiding delivery teams and supporting long-term architectural improvements across complex insurance environments.

The role offers UK-based hybrid working, with office and client-site attendance depending on project requirements.
