Overview

Due to growth our client is seeking to recruit a confident and experienced Senior Underwriter / insurance professional to join their busy Commercial Insurance team. In this role you will be required to underwrite insurance cases within agreed processes, performing as part of a team to increase business development and retention targets.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite insurance cases within agreed processes as part of the Commercial Insurance team.
• Work with company brokers to identify, discuss, negotiate and convert new and existing business opportunities.
• Make effective underwriting decisions using a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques to retain existing and win new business opportunities within the defined risk appetite.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business development and retention targets and deliver a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• At least Cert CII or Dip CII.
• Underwriting experience or an understanding of the local insurance market would be advantageous.
