Job summary

JD Group in Bury is seeking an Insurance Manager to join our Finance – Risk team. You will manage UK/Europe policies, support programme enhancements, and provide hands-on delivery across core insurance processes.

The role requires a strong insurance background, neat data handling, and the ability to influence governance frameworks in a changing environment. You will engage with brokers, insurers and internal teams to drive effective risk management.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of insurance principles and policy coverages.
• Experience supporting insurance programme renewals and policy placement activities.
• Ability to analyse complex information and present findings clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and third-party providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined portfolio of insurance policies from local to Group placements, ensuring compliance with policy conditions.
• Support enhancements to the Group insurance programme, including governance frameworks and processes.
• Maintain an effective insurance programme aligned with business needs and risk appetite.
• Lead or support renewal exercises with data collation, validation and timely broker submissions.
• Review data quality and interpret policy coverage for the business.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, insurers and external providers for service delivery.
• Provide proactive risk management advice to the business and support financial oversight of insurance programmes.
• Produce and maintain accurate insurance MI and presentations for senior stakeholders.
