Job Description:

Six figure salary package available for an Insurance Risk Engineer role covering UK, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply working knowledge of captive insurance companies.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate or transfer risk.
  • Analyze, critique, and draft risk allocation, indemnity, insurance, and related contract provisions.
  • Negotiate, implement, and administer insurance and reinsurance placement structures, including the use of captive or alternative finance mechanisms.
  • Develop and advise on risk and insurance policies and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate activities with brokers, insurers, consultants, and other service providers, including risk engineering and asset appraisals; negotiate claims and pursue recovery from third parties.
  • Mentor and develop staff.
  • Represent the division at internal and external meetings and assignments.

As a successful candidate, you will hold the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in insurance or risk management from a recognized program. Professional certifications such as ACII, CMIRM, SIRM, or CPCU are preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical industry, or a major corporate organization.
  • Relevant corporate risk and insurance expertise, preferably with experience in the energy and petrochemical sectors, obtained from industry, international broking, risk management, or insurance companies.
