Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced professional for a senior risk management role in the oil & gas, petrochemical industry with global opportunities in UK, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing risk mitigation strategies, negotiating insurance structures, and managing relationships with brokers and insurers.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply working knowledge of captive insurance companies.
• Develop strategies to mitigate or transfer risk.
• Analyze, critique, and draft risk allocation, indemnity, insurance, and related contract provisions.
• Negotiate, implement, and administer insurance and reinsurance placement structures, including the use of captive or alternative finance mechanisms.
• Develop and advise on risk and insurance policies and procedures.
• Manage and coordinate activities of brokers, insurers, consultants, and service providers, including risk engineering and asset appraisals; negotiate claims and pursue recovery from third parties.
• Mentor and develop staff.
• Represent the division at internal and external meetings and assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in insurance or risk management from a recognized program; professional certifications such as ACII, CMIRM, SIRM, or CPCU are preferred.
• 15 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical industry or a major corporate organization.
• Relevant corporate risk and insurance expertise from industry, international broking, risk management, or insurance company backgrounds, preferably with experience in the energy and petrochemical sectors.
