Job summary

Bupa is seeking an Insurance Product Manager to join the Consumer & SME Private Medical Insurance team on a 12-month secondment. You will shape and evolve our PMI health insurance propositions, balancing customer outcomes with commercial needs and regulatory compliance.

You will work across stakeholders to drive product enhancements, governance, and market analyses, delivering reports and supporting strategic initiatives within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Experience in Private Medical Insurance, General Insurance, or Financial Services.
• Experience with product governance, fair value assessments, or product reviews.
• Knowledge of proposition development and product lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and market trends.
• Experience working across multiple business functions to deliver change.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong presentation and report-writing capabilities.
• Understanding of risk management, compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery and development of the Consumer & SME PMI product strategy.
• Lead or support development and launch of product enhancements and new initiatives.
• Act as Product Lead on projects including regulatory changes and proposition improvements.
• Conduct market, competitor and customer analysis to identify opportunities.
• Support broker tenders and new distribution opportunities.
• Manage annual and quarterly product reviews and fair value assessments.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve product performance and customer outcomes.
• Review and evolve product Terms & Conditions.
• Monitor product performance, risks, incidents and audit actions for governance.
• Produce high-quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Permanent/fixed term contract: 12 months Secondment
Shift pattern: Full-time 37.5hrs

You'll work across a wide range of stakeholders to develop product enhancements, support strategic initiatives, and influence the future direction of our SME PMI portfolio.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the delivery and development of the Consumer & SME PMI product strategy.
• Leading or supporting the development and launch of product enhancements and new product initiatives.
• Acting as Product Lead on a variety of projects, including regulatory changes and proposition improvements.
• Conducting market, competitor and customer analysis to identify opportunities and shape future product development.
• Supporting broker tenders and new distribution opportunities.
• Managing annual and quarterly product reviews and fair value assessments.

About you

We're looking for someone who can combine commercial thinking with strong analytical capability and a genuine focus on customer outcomes.

You will ideally have:

• Product management experience within Private Medical Insurance, General Insurance, or Financial Services.
• Experience supporting or leading product reviews, fair value assessments, or product governance activities.
• Knowledge of proposition development and product lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, market trends and customer insights.
• Experience working across multiple business functions to deliver change.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong presentation and report-writing capabilities.
• A good understanding of risk management, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with close attention to detail.
