Pricing plays a key role in setting the cost of our insurance policies. The team analyse data, assess risks, and predict trends to ensure premiums are fair and competitive. By balancing customer needs with business goals, they help NFU Mutual stay profitable while offering great value to our customers. It focuses on using insights and smart thinking to get the price right. Our Pricing team is forward-thinking and innovative, using tools such as predictive modelling, machine learning, and advanced data analytics to support commercial growth projects, trend analysis, street pricing, and market benchmarking. They are involved in strategic internal initiatives and are committed to developing future leaders with a strong “grow our own” culture.

  • Salary - £30,987 + up to 10% annual bonus, with annual pay reviews and incremental increases as you develop
  • Start date - September 2026, with earlier start dates available if desired
  • Scheme length - 3 years
  • Location - Stratford-upon-Avon, hybrid work depending on business needs
  • Criteria - Minimum 2:1 degree with strong numerical or analytical components (all disciplines considered)
What you can expect

  • Extracting, cleaning, and analysing data for modelling purposes
  • Conducting complex analyses (e.g., multivariate, root cause, performance testing) to inform continuous improvement of data and models
  • Refining and operating pricing models and reporting results to support informed business decisions
  • Developing rating logic that ensures effective pricing outcomes
  • Implementing quality control processes to guarantee that models and data deliver expected outputs
  • Preparing reports, communicating findings, addressing queries, and taking ownership of follow-up actions to provide excellent service to the team and business stakeholders
