THE ROLE

• Work closely with senior underwriting management teams, gaining insights and experience that will elevate your career
• Oversight of the Portfolio – monitor threshold and appetites – looking at how the business has made/ can make process improvements
• Engage with a diverse team of experts, including catastrophe modelling professionals and external markets
• Liaise with external markets to provide required data and supporting narrative information

The Candidate

• Proven experience in portfolio management, particularly in advising, planning, and monitoring against key appetite and thresholds
• Previous experience using data capture systems (Sequel Impact / Open X)
• Proficiency in managing a portfolio close process, securing necessary sign-offs, and validation control checks for DA business
• Strong data analysis skills, particularly in Excel (SQL desirable), with an understanding of insurance exposure data for Property and On/Offshore Energy lines of business
• Experience working with and interpreting Cat Modelling data outputs from vendors such as RMS/AIR, with the ability to articulate key metrics and statistics

This role would suit a Senior Underwriter looking after Property / Offshore/Onshore energy accounts, who has a keen interest in leading on portfolio decisions and strategy as well as working closely with CAT exposures and the ability to articulate key metrics.
