About the role
My client is seeking an Insurance Technician to be a point of contact for the London-based broking teams who you will support. The role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the UK.
Key duties
- You will work closely with your manager and other team members to manage administration and support processes related to clients’ insurance requirements, aiming to achieve targets, develop the business, and deliver excellent service.
- You will participate in system testing, provide training, monitor data integrity, engage in various projects, and act as a technical referral point for complex debiting and related issues.
- This role will coordinate all documentation related to London Market Premium and Policy processing, liaising with others as necessary.
- Ensure client invoicing is made on time.
- Track and monitor changes to policies, especially relating to invoicing.
- Assist in creating comprehensive broking, client, and other documents.
- Process slips, quotes, and indications.
- Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities.
- Keep informed of all regulatory and legal changes affecting the role.
- Maintain up-to-date records on the company systems.
- Respond appropriately to urgent issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Experience with the Acturis Platform.
- Strong understanding of the Lloyd’s and London market, with experience in a similar role.
- Experience preparing documentation (LPAN).
- Experience with Xchanging / DXC technology is desirable.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations related to insurance intermediaries.
- Excellent understanding of processes and procedures within the insurance market.
- Able to audit and check the work of others.
