Insurance Operations Technician Lloyds Insurance Market - About the role

My client is seeking an Insurance Technician to serve as a point of contact for the London-based broking teams you will support. The role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key duties

  • Work closely with your manager and team members to manage administration and support processes related to clients' insurance requirements, aiming to achieve targets, develop the business, and deliver excellent service.
  • Participate in system testing, provide training, monitor data integrity, engage in project work, and act as a technical referral point for complex debiting and related issues.
  • Coordinate documentation related to London Market Premium and Policy processing, liaising with relevant parties.
  • Ensure timely client invoicing.
  • Track and monitor policy changes, especially related to invoicing.
  • Assist in creating comprehensive broking, client, and other documents.
  • Process slips, quotes, and indications.
  • Perform technical duties including data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities.
  • Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes affecting the role.
  • Maintain up-to-date records on company systems.
  • Respond appropriately to urgent issues as they arise.

Key requirements

  • Experience with the Acturis Platform.
  • Strong understanding of the Lloyds and London market, with experience in a similar role.
  • Experience preparing documentation such as LPAN.
  • Experience with Xchanging / DXC technology is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations relevant to insurance intermediaries.
  • Excellent knowledge of processes and procedures within the insurance market, with the ability to audit and review others' work.
