Overview

Pen Underwriting is seeking an enthusiastic Insurance Data Technician to join our Business Operations team in our new Chelmsford offices. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a diverse team dedicated to managing and overseeing data ingestion across our business, ensuring data is collected, processed, and uploaded efficiently and accurately.

How you'll make an impact

• Monitor & Troubleshoot: Play a crucial role in monitoring insurance data quality, troubleshooting issues, and resolving queries with supporting brokers.
• Reporting Excellence: Deliver comprehensive insurance reports to insurer partners and internal stakeholders, contributing to our success.
• Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency in insurance data management.
• Collaborative Environment: Work closely with various Pen teams, including actuarial pricing, Operations, and Finance, on ad hoc projects related to insurance data.

About You

• Excel Expertise: Strong skills in Excel, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables, essential for insurance data analysis.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to quickly understand insurance data validations and behavior concepts.
• Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret insurance data trends, effectively communicating findings.
• Relationship Building: Comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders in the insurance sector.
• Eager Learner: Keen to learn new concepts in a fast-paced insurance environment.
