Overview
As a Compliance Analyst, you will act in the best interests of Gallagher, supporting strategic and operational compliance risk management to ensure business compliance. You will assess and implement systems and controls to meet regulatory objectives, and support policy and advisory initiatives, impact analyses, compliance projects, and the embedding of professional standards. Your role will balance business opportunities with compliance risks to maximise corporate performance and minimise financial, regulatory, or reputational loss.
This role is based in our London City office, with an expectation to work in the office 3 days a week and remotely 2 days.
How you'll make an impact
- Support the business in identifying, assessing, and managing compliance risk, ensuring adherence to professional standards set by Gallagher Group and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Risk & Compliance Manager and the wider Gallagher-EMEA Compliance team by providing advice on Gallagher's control framework, policies, and procedures.
- Provide specialist compliance advice to divisional staff, considering business and client needs, external best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas for challenge to senior management.
- Participate in selected projects and assist with compliance work outlined in the Compliance plan, as well as strategic projects.
- Support compliance on business-led projects and Mergers & Acquisitions integration projects.
- Stay informed about business and regulatory initiatives to meet local requirements.
- Respond to enquiries, ensuring clear communication.
- Review external trends to support compliance and business strategies aligned with Gallagher-EMEA's overall strategy.
- Support conduct risk training and awareness initiatives.
About You
- Previous experience in compliance, risk management, or related field within insurance is essential.
- Experience dealing with regulatory authorities and managing audits.
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
- Good understanding of the insurance industry and products.
- High integrity and ethical conduct.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
