Job description

Wise May is looking for a proactive, analytical Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant to join a leading international Reinsurer. Working in a global team, you will facilitate data-driven decision making and work with stakeholders to support their reporting requirements.
Contract length expectation: 6 months
Responsibilities:
  • Understand the data received from clients to ensure it meets the required level of detail.
  • Manage individual data and accounts of assigned clients on the Single Risk platform and accounting system.
  • Investigate discrepancies in premium calculations.
  • Manage the claims portfolio for assigned clients, ensuring accurate claim notifications and liabilities, and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular reviews to verify the accuracy of outstanding claims.
  • Ensure timely cash settlements.
  • Understand the co-reinsurance structure between the UK and Ireland, ensuring settlements align with client shares as documented in the treaty.
  • Assist with internal and external administration as required.
