Job description

Wise May is looking for a proactive, analytical Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant to join a leading international Reinsurer. Working in a global team, you will facilitate data-driven decision making and collaborate with stakeholders to support their reporting requirements.
Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant duties:
  • Understanding the data received from clients to ensure it meets the desired level of detail.
  • Managing individual client data and accounts on the Single Risk platform and accounting system.
  • Investigating discrepancies in premium calculations.
  • Managing the claims portfolio for allocated clients, ensuring accurate claim notifications and liabilities, and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Conducting regular reviews to ensure the accuracy of outstanding claims.
  • Ensuring timely cash settlements.
  • Understanding the co-reinsurance structure between the UK and Ireland, ensuring settlements align with client shares as documented in the treaty.
  • Participating in internal and external administration as required.
