Job summary

InsurX is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join our Insurance Analytics space. You will deepen insights users consume and own technical evaluation of portfolios on the InsurX exchange, partnering with the Commercial team to translate analytics into practical actions.

You will work across data sources, run portfolio reviews, and help design data artifacts that support brokers and carriers. A background in insurance analytics and strong SQL skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in (re)insurance, reserving, pricing or portfolio management.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent Excel and Office skills.
• SQL skills with relational databases and visualization tools.
• Strong communication and ability to present insights.
• Familiarity with VBA/.NET/Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Technical evaluation of portfolios such as Broker Facilities and Smart Consortiums for profitability, indexation and pricing review.
• Support the structuring of deals and own data artifacts within Broking Submission.
• Monitor ongoing deal performance and take technical ownership for selected deals; prepare quarterly reviews.
• Surface insights on broker placement and carrier interactions for internal and external clients.
• Develop internal capabilities to monitor live deals on the InsurX exchange.
• Support pre- and post-loss event analysis and broader claims experience monitoring.
• Engage with third-party providers to actively improve the insights generated.
• Be the point of contact for underwriting, pricing and exposure management.
