Overview
Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Claim Administrator to join our growing Small Animal veterinary team. You will be responsible for processing and managing insurance claims for our clients' pets, ensuring timely and accurate submissions, follow-ups, and clear communication with insurance providers. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our clients' experience is seamless and stress-free, while maintaining the highest level of service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit pet insurance claims on behalf of clients. Via online portals and email
- Ensure all necessary documentation (treatment records, invoices, vet notes, etc.) is complete and accurate before submission.
- Track the progress of claims and follow up with insurance providers for updates.
- Communicate any requests or updates from insurance companies to clients and veterinary staff.
- Assist clients with understanding our insurance claims process, including pre-authorisations.
- Respond to insurance-related enquiries, ensuring clients feel well-informed and supported.
- Guide clients through any issues or discrepancies related to their claims.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all insurance claims, correspondence, and documentation.
- Ensure that all data handling complies with data protection and confidentiality regulations.
- Work alongside veterinary professionals to ensure treatment details and diagnoses are accurately reflected on claim forms.
- Coordinate with the accounts departments concerning remittance received for claims and outstanding balances
- Communication and providing detailed guidance to the reception team about excess and co-payments

Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage sensitive client and insurance data with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Great customer care
Preferred:
- Basic understanding of veterinary terminology.
Your shift pattern
This role entails 35 hours per week, working 9-5 Monday - Friday with 1 hour for lunch.
