Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. What you will be doing:

  • Becoming a member of the instrumentation team establishing the skills for gauge application, instrument routing, electronics, and engine harness work.
  • Diagnostic investigation of engine and test bed related issues.
  • Responsible for quality of instrumentation installation in line with instructional method alongside relevant specifications.
  • Working across a broad range of products with often tight timescales.
  • Proactive approach to production system sustainment, with ability to constantly identify and implement improvements.
  • Focus on safety, quality, customer and delivery.
  • Managing all tasks in line with FOD & Segregation adherence as set out in the Defence UK policy, understanding priorities and owning the commitments for turnaround of tasks.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Time served apprentice with appropriate aero-engine skills.
  • Electrical experience required.
  • 18th Edition certification desirable, overview knowledge of aerospace product is desirable.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3, City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
  • Practical knowledge of working with tools and techniques, computer literate, able to work at pace whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to fully interpret instructional/process drawings.
  • Although not essential, an appreciation of instrumentation, risk assessment, and COSHH is desirable.
