Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer – Days

Reporting to: Coating & Converting Maintenance Coordinator

Job Purpose:

To install, maintain, repair, and modify various control systems & instrumentation equipment to ensure optimized and continuous production. This includes routine maintenance, fault diagnostics, calibration, and repair of all control-related plant and equipment in line with CBM philosophy.

Key Responsibilities & Experience:
  1. Carry out planned preventative, remedial, and breakdown maintenance in accordance with the Site’s CMMS system.
  2. Perform fault diagnostics on all control-related equipment to ensure maximum machinery utilization and minimize manufacturing losses.
  3. Conduct hardware maintenance and diagnostics on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  4. Respond promptly to breakdowns, applying effective fault-finding and investigation techniques.
  5. Collaborate with the Reliability Department to conduct Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
  6. Modify existing equipment to enhance system performance, effectiveness, and functionality.
  7. Supervise and train apprentices, graduate trainees, or other individuals under instruction.
  8. Possess a recognized apprenticeship in Instrumentation Engineering within the process industry.
  9. Hold an ONC or BTEC National Certificate in Instrumentation or Controls Engineering.

Applicants must have previous experience in fault finding and diagnostics on various controls & instruments.
