Job summary

Seismic Recruitment in Peterborough is seeking an Electronics & Instrumentation Technician on a 12 month rolling contract to support the EC&I team. You will calibrate, repair and maintain electronic control and data acquisition systems within the test facility to ensure high quality data and readiness for engine development.

Responsibilities include building/upgrading instrumentation panels, performing TPM and calibrations, and providing first line breakdown support to engine test cells.

Qualifications

• Qualified through a technical apprenticeship with electrical/electronic bias or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience building/manufacturing instrumentation panels.
• Calibrating and fault-finding of precision instrumentation.
• Able to follow written work instructions and document progress.
• Able to read and interpret electronic schematics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build/Upgrade of instrumentation panels.
• Conduct electronic diagnostic investigations using appropriate instrumentation.
• Conduct Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and calibrations of engine test cells and equipment.
• Maintain and upgrade test rigs and equipment.
• Provide first line breakdown cover for engine test cells and equipment.
