Qualifications

  • Appropriate professional qualification or membership of professional body.
  • Track record of building and managing productive, credible business relationships.
  • Experience analysing data sets for operational insight.
  • Experience of negotiating between multiple stakeholders.
  • Good Working knowledge of Water Recycling assets and processes.
  • Experience of working in an operational engineering environment.
  • Experience of wastewater company business including Regulation, Asset Management and WW Operations.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Street works / NRSWA experience, operative or supervisor.
  • Good knowledge of the AWS business.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing a high-performing team of instrumentation technicians.
  • Managing the maintenance lifecycle of regulatory instruments, including calibration, fault diagnosis, and repair.
  • Collaborating with catchment and operational teams to support data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in asset performance and maintenance strategies.
  • Supporting innovation and the adoption of new technologies in instrumentation and monitoring.

Salary: £48,000 - 52,000 , depending on skills and experience

Permanent, 37 hours p/w

Location: Milton Keynes, Northampton, Bedford . Flexible base location in the South of the Anglian Water region, with travel between sites expected.

Hybrid working available - 2/3 days on site a week.

About the team

We are a specialist instrumentation team working alongside a dedicated group of specialists at the forefront of ensuring flow compliance across our water recycling asset base. We take full ownership of flow compliance, offering expert advice and actionable insights to support operational teams and drive performance.

Our work spans across monitoring and reporting against key flow compliance metrics, conducting in-depth investigations, and delivering both tactical and strategic interventions to restore and maintain compliance in underperforming assets. With a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, we play a critical role in protecting the environment and supporting sustainable water management.

About the Role

As a Regulatory Instrumentation Asset Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that maintains , validates, and embeds reliable flow monitoring instrumentation across our Water Recycling Infrastructure . Your responsibilities will include resource management, stakeholder engagement, asset management and Health, safety and wellbeing ,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing team of instrumentation technicians.
