A leading engineering recruitment agency seeks a Senior / Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer in West Midlands. The ideal candidate will design and implement C&I systems, liaise with teams, and produce technical documents. Candidates should have a relevant STEM degree and experience in PLC/SCADA programming.

Job Description:

Senior / Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Undertaking functional design, providing specialist advice, and producing evidence
• Liaising with internal and external customers as part of a technical team
• Electrical/Electronic installation for Communications and Control & Instrumentation (C&I)
• Design of Test Infrastructure and Hardware
• Writing and producing technical and test documents

Required Skills and Experience:

• A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent
• Experience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design, or parts specification is advantageous
• Good technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Communications Systems (Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Broadcast (PA), or trunked radio systems) or Control & Instrumentation (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Fanuc PLCs)
