An established industry player is seeking a Senior/Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join their innovative team in Portsmouth. Senior / Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Portsmouth (relocation available)

Salary: £48k - £65k, plus overtime

What you’ll be doing as a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

  1. Undertaking functional design, providing specialist advice and producing evidence
  2. Liaising with internal and external customers as part of a technical team
  3. Electrical/Electronic installation for Comms and C&I
  4. Design of Test Infrastructure and Hardware
  5. Write and produce technical & test documents

Your skills and experiences as a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

  1. A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent
  2. Experience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design or parts specification would be advantageous
  3. Good technical knowledge of practicing in at least one of the following areas: Communications Systems (Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Broadcast (PA) or trunked radio systems) or Control & Instrumentation (Siemens, Allan Bradley and Fanuc PLCs)
