Job summary

A prominent engineering firm is looking for a Senior/Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to work in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will be responsible for design functions, liaising with customers, and ensuring high technical standards in Controls and Instrumentation systems. Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree and experience with PLC/SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in PLC and SCADA programming preferred.
• Good technical knowledge of Communications Systems or Control & Instrumentation.
• Relevant experience in test design or specification is advantageous.

Senior / Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

What you’ll be doing as a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

• Undertaking functional design, providing specialist advice, and producing evidence.
• Liaising with internal and external customers as part of a technical team.
• Electrical/Electronic installation for Communications and C&I.
• Design of Test Infrastructure and Hardware.
• Writing and producing technical and test documents.

Your skills and experiences as a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

• A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent.
• Experience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design, or parts specification would be advantageous.
• Good technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Communications Systems (Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Broadcast (PA), or trunked radio systems) or Control & Instrumentation (Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Fanuc PLCs).
