JOB - C&I Engineer

LOCATION - Hemel Hempstead

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £45,000 to £50,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Hemel Hempstead that is looking to hire a Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer.

The C&I Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or qualification in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
• Experience in control system design, instrumentation, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with process instrumentation, sensors, and actuators.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot, commission, and maintain control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.

The C&I Engineer role will involve:

• Designing, developing, and implementing control and instrumentation systems.
• Programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Selecting and integrating process instrumentation for various applications.
• Carrying out system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to meet specifications.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Supporting the maintenance and improvement of existing control systems.
