An exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate instrumental teachers to join the vibrant team at Redbridge Music Service, part of Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure.

Contract Type: Part-Time Permanent

Successful applicants will be placed on a salary scale according to their experience and qualifications.

We are looking for the following teachers to join our team:
  • Strings (upper and lower)
  • Woodwind (all instruments)
  • Percussion
  • Brass (all instruments)
  • Guitar (all styles)
  • Piano/Keyboard
  • Voice
  • Gamelan
  • SEN Music
  • Recorders

If you play an instrument not listed and wish to be considered, please fill in the application form with details of your instrument and how it will enhance our service.

Role details:

Deliver tuition in 48 Redbridge schools, surrounded by instruments, creativity, and passion for teaching children, adults, toddlers, and babies. Participate in over 50 concerts per year, including performances at iconic venues like the Royal Albert Hall, impacting the musical journeys of community students.

Minimum requirements:
  • Music Degree or equivalent
  • Good musical skills and effective oral and written communication
  • High level of performance on your main instrument
  • Knowledge of technical demands of instruments you are competent to teach
Additional information:

Enhanced DBS checks will be undertaken. References will be requested before interview as part of safer recruitment.
