Qualifications

  • Trained to SVQ level 3 or equivalent and qualified to HNC level.
  • Mechanical, instrument, or electrical background with workshop experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build pneumatic and hydraulic control systems for rotary actuators.
  • Carry out hydraulic flushing, fluid sampling, and nitrogen testing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

About the role:

The instrument technician builds pneumatic and hydraulic control systems for mainly rotary actuators. Builds and commissions HPU’s. Carries out hydraulic flushing & fluid sampling. Technicians also coach and manage apprentices.

Primary responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
  • Build control systems as per the job file & QA card
  • Hydraulic flushing & fluid sampling
  • Nitrogen testing
  • Factory acceptance testing
  • Installation and commissioning
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications

  • Trained to SVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Qualified to HNC level or equivalent
  • Ideally taken part in and completed an apprenticeship scheme

Experience

  • A mechanical, instrument or electrical background will be considered for this role with demonstrable workshop experience.
