Job summary

INEOS Acetyls UK on the Hull site is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join the team. You will provide day-based instrument support and work with engineers, operators and maintenance personnel to maximise reliability and ensure SHE targets are met.

The role requires a recognised apprenticeship and NVQ3 or equivalent, plus experience with instrumentation systems, P&ID reading, and safe isolation. Independent work and strong planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a recognised apprenticeship and NVQ3 or equivalent.
• ONC (HNC preferred).
• CompEX modules 01-04 certificate.
• Proven experience in instrumentation maintenance and E&I systems.
• Familiar with safe isolation of E&I systems.
• Read, understand and fault find using P&ID drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-based instrument support service to the Acetyls assets at the Hull site.
• Work with engineers, operating technicians and maintenance personnel with minimal supervision.
• Maximise reliability and availability of assets and ensure SHE targets are met.
• Plan and organise support services, faults, and repair work.
