Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a highly skilled Instrument Engineer to join a leading Design and Engineering Consultancy, in a long-term contract position, outside IR35. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client's office in Manchester.

This is a great opportunity to work on an exciting range of projects in our client's energy sector.

- Competitive hourly rate from £50-£55 (depending on experience).

- Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical input and review for instrumentation in projects and proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Prepare specs and requisitions for control systems and instrumentation.
  • Review supplier quotes and define installation scopes.
  • Support system development, functional safety, and obsolescence management.
What we are looking for:
  • Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas, Nuclear or Water sectors.
  • Strong understanding of design, installation, and industry practices.
  • Knowledge of UK legislation, standards, and explosive area requirements.
  • Familiar with CE marking and compliance (ATEX, PED, LVD, Machinery, EMC).
  • Awareness of risk management and HSE requirements.
