Chichester College is seeking an enthusiastic Instructor/Technician in Carpentry to support teaching staff by preparing workshops and materials for carpentry lessons. The role requires competence with wood machine equipment and openness to training and development opportunities.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining workshop equipment, supporting staff and students, and ensuring a safe, tidy stores area and yard.

Competenze

• Industry experience within wood trades sector.
• Practical experience in maintenance and upkeep of woodworking tools and equipment.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and safe working practices.

Mansioni

This is a full-time supportive role that will help teaching staff prepare workshops and materials for lessons in general construction skills such as carpentry and furniture making. This role gives you the opportunity help people learn new skills and develop themselves into construction professionals of the future. You will be competent in the use of wood machine equipment and be open to opportunities for training and development. As our Instructor/Technician in Carpentry you will:

Responsibilities

• To ensure that stores area and yard are kept in a safe and tidy condition.
